Sally Hindson has been making hats from her home in Oxfordshire for over ten years. She studied millinery at the London College of fashion, then used her talent to start a small business, run from her thatched home, just 200 yards from the bank of the River Thames.

Today, she has produced over 1000 hats for her clientele, a remarkable figure when you consider that each hat is hand made, taking on average 20 hours to create.

Millinery is something of an art form when practiced on such a small scale. Sally's hats are different to those found in department stores in that nothing is mass-produced and everything is made to the customer's specifications. Each hat is a 'one off', an original piece. Clients return to Sally to have hats made to match their outfit for occasions from weddings to royal functions.
